Limited Warranty Policy

Effective: June 1, 2026© 2026 Lockabea Inc.

This Limited Warranty Policy applies to Lockabea hardware products purchased directly from Lockabea or authorized sellers.

By purchasing or using Lockabea, you agree to the terms of this warranty.

1. Warranty Coverage Period

Lockabea provides a limited 1-year hardware warranty starting from the date of delivery.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

2. What This Warranty Covers

During the warranty period, Lockabea will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the product
  • Replace the product with a new or refurbished unit
  • Provide a functional equivalent replacement if exact models are unavailable

Covered issues include:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Electrical or hardware failure under normal use
  • Device malfunction not caused by user damage
  • Battery failure not caused by misuse (within reasonable degradation expectations)

3. What This Warranty Does NOT Cover

This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:

3.1 Misuse or Improper Handling

  • Dropping, crushing, or impact damage
  • Forcing or tampering with the lockable band mechanism
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications
  • Use outside intended operating conditions

3.2 Water & Environmental Damage

Lockabea is designed for everyday water resistance but is not fully waterproof or submersible.

This warranty does NOT cover:

  • Submersion in water (pools, oceans, bathtubs, etc.)
  • Hot water exposure (showers, hot tubs, saunas)
  • High-pressure water exposure
  • Saltwater or chemically corrosive environments
  • Long-term water exposure beyond normal incidental contact

Water resistance may decrease over time due to wear and tear.

3.3 Normal Wear and Tear

  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, fading, discoloration)
  • Normal battery degradation over time
  • Strap wear from regular use

3.4 External Causes

  • Damage from accidents, abuse, or negligence
  • Fire, flood, or extreme environmental conditions
  • Network or carrier-related service issues
  • GPS or connectivity limitations due to external systems

4. Lockable Band Mechanism

The Lockabea lockable band system is designed for secure wear.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by forced removal attempts
  • Damage caused by improper locking or unlocking
  • Wear resulting from misuse of locking mechanism

5. Battery Performance

Rechargeable batteries naturally degrade over time.

This warranty covers:

  • Abnormal battery failure within the warranty period

This warranty does NOT cover:

  • Gradual capacity reduction due to normal use

6. Warranty Claim Process

To make a warranty claim:

  • Contact Lockabea Support
  • Provide proof of purchase
  • Describe the issue in detail
  • Provide photos or video if requested

If approved, Lockabea will provide instructions for return or replacement.

We may require inspection before confirming eligibility.

7. Shipping for Warranty Claims

  • Customers may be responsible for shipping costs to return the product
  • Lockabea may cover return shipping for confirmed defects at its discretion
  • Replacement shipping may be covered depending on region and issue

8. Replacement Policy

Replacement units may be:

  • New
  • Refurbished
  • Functionally equivalent models

Replacement units are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or a minimum period as required by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Lockabea is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Lockabea is not responsible for injuries or damages resulting from misuse of the product
  • Lockabea is not responsible for failure of third-party networks, GPS systems, or emergency services

Nothing in this warranty excludes rights that cannot legally be limited.

10. No Extension or Transfer

This warranty:

  • Applies only to the original purchaser
  • Is not transferable
  • Does not extend if the product is replaced or repaired (except as required by law)
