Pre-Order Policy

This Pre-Order Policy applies to all products purchased on a pre-order basis from Lockabea.

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

1. What a Pre-Order Means

A pre-order means you are purchasing a product that is not yet in full production or available for immediate shipment.

By placing a pre-order, you are reserving a unit of the Lockabea device for future delivery.

2. Estimated Delivery Timeline

Estimated fulfillment for pre-order products is 4–6 weeks from the date of purchase.

This timeline is an estimate only and may change due to factors including but not limited to:

  • Manufacturing schedules
  • Component availability
  • Certification processes (including regulatory approvals)
  • Carrier activation or network setup
  • Supply chain delays

Lockabea will make reasonable efforts to meet estimated timelines but does not guarantee specific delivery dates.

3. Payment for Pre-Orders

Full payment is typically charged at the time of purchase to reserve production capacity.

This ensures:

  • Allocation of manufacturing resources
  • Component procurement
  • Reservation of inventory units

4. Cancellations

You may cancel your pre-order for a full refund at any time before it ships. Because pre-orders can take several weeks to fulfill, you are never locked in while you wait.

To cancel, contact us with your order details. We will cancel the order and issue a full refund to your original payment method.

Once your order has shipped, it is treated as a standard order and our Return & Refund Policy applies, including the 30-day return window from the date of delivery.

5. Delays

While we aim to meet estimated timelines, delays may occur.

In the event of delays:

  • Customers will be notified when significant changes occur
  • Revised delivery estimates will be provided
  • No automatic refunds are issued solely due to delays unless required by law

6. Changes to Product Design

Lockabea may make minor improvements or changes to the product before final shipment, including:

  • Hardware refinements
  • Software updates
  • Connectivity or firmware improvements

These changes will not materially reduce core functionality.

7. Shipping & Fulfillment

Pre-order units will be shipped once production is complete and quality checks are finished.

Shipping timelines may vary depending on:

  • Destination country
  • Carrier availability
  • Customs processing times

8. Risk Acknowledgment

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge that:

  • You are purchasing a product currently in development or early production
  • Delivery timelines are estimates and not guarantees
  • External factors may affect production and shipping
  • You understand Lockabea is a hardware device subject to manufacturing variability

9. Refunds for Pre-Orders

Refund eligibility depends on production status:

  • Refunds may be issued before production begins
  • Refunds after production begins are limited and may not be available
  • Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis

Refund processing times may vary depending on payment provider.

10. Fraud & Abuse Prevention

Lockabea reserves the right to refuse or cancel pre-orders in cases of suspected:

  • Fraudulent payment activity
  • Abuse of refund or chargeback systems
  • Misuse of promotional or referral systems

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Lockabea is not liable for delays in production or delivery caused by third parties, supply chain issues, or regulatory processes
  • Lockabea is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from pre-order delays or fulfillment changes

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
